DairyNZ represents all New Zealand dairy farmers, to protect and advance their competitive edge on the global market.

Position on NAIT

DairyNZ believes it is in the interest of dairy farmers for New Zealand to enhance its capability in the animal traceability area. New Zealand must be able to respond to biosecurity alerts quickly, contain the situation and limit the impact on trade and the national economy.

DairyNZ will continue to work with all parties involved in the NAIT process to ensure that the scheme developed is appropriate, cost-effective and meets the needs of the dairy industry and agriculture sector.
